How It Works
Zucchiny Pet Network helps you connect with people around pets. This happens through listings. We have listing types such as:
- Sits — find someone to care for your pet
- Sitters — offer your services as a pet sitter
- Playdates — arrange meetups for pets to socialise
- Marketplace — buy and sell pet-related products
- Missing Pets — get the community's help finding a lost pet
Each type lets you fill in the relevant details and publish a listing so others can find and connect with you.
There are no fixed roles. Our members are simply users and they don't register as a 'Pet Owner' or a 'Pet Sitter'. Anyone can publish any type of listing, depending on their needs.
Currently we do not offer subscriptions.
Publishing Listings And Connection:
When you publish a listing, you choose how long it stays active: 2, 4, or 8 weeks. Once a listing expires it's removed from public browsing, but you can always republish it. We charge based on the duration you pick:
- 2 weeks — 5 CHF
- 4 weeks — 10 CHF
- 8 weeks — 20 CHF
To keep the platform healthy and prevent flooding, we charge a rising fee for each additional active listing of the same type. Your first 2-week listing of a type costs 5 CHF, the second 10 CHF, the third 15 CHF, and the fourth 20 CHF, after that the fee doubles with each one.
Once a listing is published, you can share your contact details at your own discretion or rely on in-platform messaging. We do not charge other users or require a subscription for them to connect with you.
User Reviews:
When you interact with another user, you can leave a review for them. Honest reviews keep the platform useful for everyone, they help other members make better decisions about who to connect with.
Reports:
If you come across behaviour that doesn't belong on the platform, you can report it. Reports can target listings, users, reviews. When our moderation reviews, they can act on the subject, for example, suspending a listing.
Blocking other users:
You can block other users at any time. Once you block someone, you'll no longer see their listings, and neither of you can connect through the platform.
Listing Contributions:
Listing contributions let users add to someone else's listing; with a title, description, location, and image. Each contribution is sent to the listing owner for approval, and once approved it becomes publicly visible. This is especially useful for 'Missing Pets' listings, where the community helps track down a pet. Like regular connections, contributions are not subject to any fee or subscription.
Platform Credits:
Platform credits are a balance you can spend within the platform, each with its own scope and validity. For example, if your account holds 20 CHF in listing credit, when applicable, you can use it instead of paying when you publish a listing. One way to earn platform credits is through a user plan, such as the 'Premium' plan.
User Plans:
User plans let us recognise some of our members with added platform benefits. They're especially useful in our promotions, where we can rank members up. We currently offer the following plans:
Standard:
Our regular plan, which every member starts on.
Premium:
Grants 20 CHF in monthly listing credits, recurring for as long as the plan is active. The credit is non-accumulative and it resets after its expiration.
Premium Plus:
Grants 20 CHF in monthly listing credits, recurring for as long as the plan is active. The credit is non-accumulative and it resets after its expiration.
We don't currently offer a subscription route to these plans. You can access them through a promotion, when one is available.
